Kelsey June Becker

Weight: 7 lbs 13oz
Length: 20.5 inches

Jennifer woke up on February 12, 11 days overdue, with a feeling that today was finally going to be the day.  She had some contractions in the morning and by noon was having contractions 2-3 minutes apart.  We didn't call the doctor because we had a 2:40pm appointment, so he could determine at that point if we were really in labor.  As we walked into the doctor's office, Jennifer's water broke. So it was official... it was finally time for our baby to arrive!  We checked into the hospital and starting walking the halls and parking lots trying to keep the labor moving. Jennifer did not get much of a break from that point until Kelsey was born. It was a very intense labor (11 hours) and without any medication or drugs, but so much shorter than Connor's (23 hours).  Kelsey even gave us a nice scream when she arrived!

Kelsey's middle name, June, is Jennifer's maternal grandmother's name.

Jennifer and Kelsey are both doing great. Connor is recovering from the flu and is having a hard time not being able to hold her and help change diapers, but soon enough.  Once he is better, Jennifer and I decided we'll let him do the night shifts.

We thank your for all of your love, warm wishes, and prayers.

Love,
Chris, Jennifer, Connor, Kelsey, and Tahoe
